Leora Rothschild was born and raised in South Africa and has explored every wonderful corner of the continent. Leora spends several months a year returning to her favorite places that Rothschild uses frequently to ensure standards are maintained; and is always in search of pristine wilderness areas for her clients. Without doubt Rothschild Safaris knows Africa more intimately than other operators and continues to be a passionate leader in the safari industry. Because of this we have one of the highest rates of repeat travelers in the business.

We Know the Best Camps, Best Areas, Best Times to Go

We prefer to keep our safaris “off the beaten path” and so we do not include names of all the lodges and camps listed on our itineraries. We also use different camps or lodges in specific areas at different times of the year based on the movement of the wildlife, and so it would be unfair to our clients to predict the exact camp or lodge that will be included in your particular safari until we have spoken to you, figured out when you are traveling and where the best places are going to be based on that time of the year. When you contact us and we start working on a trip for you we provide you with full details of where we recommend you stay and, at any time, can supply you with a list of our past satisfied clients who have discovered with us some of Africa’s finest secrets.

We Save You Money

We never hand out a prepackaged tour booklet asking you to “pick a trip.” We work with each and every traveler on their specific safari customizing each one to perfection around your budget and previous travel experiences. We work directly with all guides, camps and lodges in Africa cutting out any middlemen and so saving you the heavy costs incurred by using an agent who books through another African based operator.
