Many of our clients come to us for a “trip of a lifetime.” They want to do Africa “right” because it’s the only time they will experience it. Well, this one trip more often than not turns into several safaris around the continent!

This month, we’re talking about “what’s next” for the traveler who has already experienced the magic of Africa.

Our exclusive journey through the heart of Africa allows travelers to discover Africa in a whole new way; an opportunity to see new wildlife, connect with new cultures and see more of this diverse continent.

Here is a taste of what this 14-day safari experience is all about.

Serengeti National Park – Tanzania

Begin your safari in what is perhaps the most quintessential game park in Africa. The wide open savannah teeming with game welcomes you as you begin your two-week journey.  Even if you’ve experienced the Serengeti before, Lamai Tented Camp hosts you with a perfect combination of luxury and adventure in an idyllic Serengeti setting.

Mahale Mountains – Tanzania

After spotting the Big Five in the Serengeti, hop on a plane for your flight to Mahale Mountains National Park, located on the far Western side of Tanzania. Here you will have a totally unique opportunity to see chimpanzees in the wild. Along with bonobos, chimpanzees are our closest living relatives. We share approximately 98% of our DNA with chimps, so it’s fair to say that we are 98% chimpanzee, and chimps are 98% human. Chimpanzees are an endangered species and the opportunity to see them in the wild is a bucket list experience for many travelers.

Lake Malawi

Next, fly to Malawi, and specifically Lake Malawi, to experience the “warm heart of Africa.” Lake Malawi is a large, fresh water lake much loved by divers for the spectacular population of colorful cichlids unique to this lake. After a week of game viewing and excursions, take these days to relax upon this magnificent lake’s sandy shores. Spend your days here kayaking, diving, and enjoying the fabulous on-site spa here.

Lower Zambezi National Park – Zambia

Next, the adventure continues in Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park. This wild and remote location is still relatively underdeveloped, maintaining its adventurous appeal and known for its up-close and personal wildlife encounters! Here, you’ll be able to experience an authentic walking safari. Joined by expert and armed guides, journey by foot into the African bush and come away with a deeper understanding and greater appreciation for Africa’s wildlife.

Chobe National Park – Botswana

As you fly from Zambia to Botswana, savor the moment as you fly over Victoria Falls along the way! Botswana’s Chobe National Park is your next destination. While the wildlife here is plentiful, the park is best known for its elephant and buffalo populations that collect in mammoth proportions. Enjoy two days here, drifting along the Chobe River in your luxurious houseboat where you can watch wildlife from the unique vantage point of the boat’s deck.

Chobe Extension

Okavango Delta – Botswana

Finally, last but certainly not least, end your safari in a setting as spic as where you began two weeks earlier. The Okavango Delta is an area that experiences seasonal flooding, with flood water from Angola reaching the Delta between March and June, peaking in July. This peak coincides with Botswana’s dry season resulting in great migrations of plains game from the dry hinterland. This, combined with a small population, has created a vast wilderness area with game unlike anywhere else in Africa. And of course we wouldn’t send you off without a fair dose of luxury at one of the delta’s most amazing safari camps.
